Wilma is a Puerto Rican 2D animator, illustrator, and artsy person who grew up in the rural town of Corozal, PR, surrounded by its gorgeous mountains, farm animals, and forest-like flora. When she wasn’t outside exploring the woods, she was drawing and watching cartoons dreaming of becoming an artist when she grew up.
She studied and graduated with a BFA in Painting from the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico and later on got an MFA in 2D Animation from the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco.
Her career has extended to 10 years in the animation industry working in both studio and freelancing scenarios on TV shows, educational projects, short films, books, music videos, and online content.

Some of her favorite projects to work on have been the music video, Sueño de Cecilia, which she directed for Atención Atención, illustrating Mayra Santos-Febres’ children’s book, El Futuro es una Estrella, and working as a Clean-Up and Inbetween Artist on The Boys, Season 3, Ep 8.
When she’s not working on animation, Wilma dances/performs with the Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance Company, and she teaches art at the Cordovan Art School, both located in Austin, Texas.
Other things she enjoys are hiking, dancing bomba/salsa, taking care of her ridiculous amount of plants, drawing whimsical/ethereal/emotional moments, watch
